Masco Corporation acquisition of Resource Conservation, Inc.

Client and Seller: Resource Conservation, Inc.

Based in Stamford Connecticut Resource Conservation Inc. (“RCI”) was a leading manufacturer of showerheads, bathroom fixtures and accessories for the do-it-yourself (DIY) market.  RCI engaged American Corporate Services to find a buyer for the business who would agree not to “close and move” the operations and displace the local workforce.

 

Buyer:  Masco Corporation

Based in Livonia, Michigan Masco Corporation (“Masco”) is a global leader in home improvement and building products. The company's $4 billion plumbing segment, led by the Delta and Hansgrohe brands, sells faucets, showerheads, and other related plumbing components.  Masco is a public company with shares traded on the New York Stock Exchange (MAS).

Transaction Details:

Masco acquired 100% of the shares of RCI.  Terms were not disclosed.  RCI expanded Masco’s product lines which include the Delta and Hansgrohe brands and broadened Masco’s distribution and sales in the DIY market through outlets such as Home Depot.
