ACS represented GCI in a sale for a strategic buyer.  With the boom in networked computer systems in the 1990s, The Marmon Group made a strategic decision to acquire companies that manufactured data communications network cable.  GCI was a logical fit for The Marmon Group’s strategy as GCI had a dominant market position in the United Kingdom and easy access to the European Union.  Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
