Based in London Intertek Group plc (“Intertek”) is one of the largest and oldest companies in the testing, inspection, and certification industry. The company's primary activities involve testing products and materials, inspecting sites/industrial equipment, and certifying products and systems to ensure global/company standards. Intertek is one of only four TIC companies that operate globally across numerous industries.  Intertek is a public company with shares traded on the London Stock Exchange (ITRK.L).

 

Seller:  Entela, Inc.

Based in Grand Rapids Michigan, Entela is a provider of comprehensive laboratory services for engineering, testing and certification of products, materials, and parts to recognized standards focusing on the automotive industry. 

 

Transaction Details:

Intertek acquired 100% of the shares of Entela at closing in a transaction valued at $26.5 million.  Entela’s expertise in the automotive industry enhanced Intertek’s service offerings in Europe and Asia.
